Odd Dream: Angry Little Person

This was a very short but incredibly vivid dream.

In the dream, I was in a food square of a busy mall. The lines were crazy and I was just looking around.

Off in the distance was a Little Person, both legs amputated, in the most futuristic, amazing looking electric chair that I had ever seen. He was standing still in the middle of the swarm of shoppers. I glanced back at the lines and then couldn’t help but stare in his direction.  That chair was amazing looking! Beyond the mechanical and technological features, it was also brilliantly decorated. I really couldn’t understand why I seemed to be the only one to take notice.

Then, the man’s eyes connected with my gaze. Anger flashed in his baby blues. The next thing I knew, the chair was flying toward me. I couldn’t even release my caught breath. The man slid to a stop, like some fancy car trick, right before my crashing into me.

He didn’t say a word to me. His body trembled, his fists balled to the sides of his chair, and his breaths rushed between his lips. He felt to me like a man ready to snap and release all his rage upon me.

“Whoa, dude, I was only checking out your chair!” I pleaded with him. I was trembling now as well. I had no idea what I could have possibly done to cause this reaction.

His upper body jerked forward as if he were about to swing at me.

“Come on! I mean, look at that thing! You don’t seriously expect people not to check that chair out, do you?”

His mouth opened as if he had something to shout, then he closed his lips, shook his head silently as if defeated. Without a word, his chair turned and he headed off.

I made to step out of the food line.

Then bam, I woke up.

Sometimes my dreams truly do baffle me ha.
